Implanted
in the Saint-Nicolas-de-Port's ancient brewery, the
French Museum of the Brewery is the heir of a long brassicole
tradition in Lorraine. To Saint-Nicolas-de-Port, except
the domestic manufacture the origin of which gets lost
in the ancient time, the local brewery exists since
1786. Acquired, modified, enlarged repeatedly, it settles
down in its current building in 1931 up to its lock
in 1986. The architectural group including the buildings
of admixture and administrative is then classified in
conformance with the conservation of the industrial
patrimony and became a Museum. |

of the beer: the malterie where the barley is transformed
into malt the room of admixture where the magnificent
copper boilers allow the saccarification and the cooking
of the mout the engine room with its enormous compressors
to produce of the cold the fermentation,
the nurse and the conditioning of the beer

A
big part of the administrative premises is dedicated
to the presentation of patches, glasses, posters
and one thousand the other advertising or commemorative
objects today which allow to evoke the big names
of the French brewery.

one hour and thirty and ends in the vault by the
